Body Fat and Migraines

Studies have shown that in increase in the Body Mass Index (BMI) can have an affect on increased incidence of migraines. Now there is evidence that a decrease in BMI could be a risk factor as well. Being over-fat or under-fat can cause an increase of the same inflammatory chemicals associated with migraine headaches.

It seems that this is another study showing the value of staying in a healthy, moderate range of body weight and fat. Eating whole, natural, organic foods, and regular exercise are the best ways to achieve this balance so your body has the best chance of getting and staying well.
