The human body is designed to move and walk, so help it out by keeping it active! Walking helps lower blood pressure and LDL cholesterol, while increasing vital blood flow. When walking, every part of your body is involved, thus making it one of the best forms of exercises. Walking also increases euphoric stimulation in the brain.
After I adjust a patient’s spine, I often have them walk and then recheck their alignment, because the proprioceptors in the hips and sacrum are rhythmically stimulated and help to integrate the new information flowing from the brain to the body via the spinal cord and nerves.
Keep active! Keep smiling! Walking is a good way to accomplish both!
