In a study done by the American College of Preventative Medicine, it was found that people complied better if their doctor actually wrote a prescription for their doctor’s dietary and exercise recommendations. The more specific the details, EG “eat 2 cups of broccoli and 2 apples daily” vs eat 2 each of fruits and vegetables daily, the better the compliance.
