3 SIMPLE TIPS FOR BETTER DIGESTION

Everything about our physical health starts with the way we digest and assimilate the food we eat. Here are a few tips to help your body absorb all the goodness of the healthy foods you choose.
1)      Sit down and get quiet. Take a few breaths and give a blessing of thanks for your food. This activates the calming, healing part of your nerve system called the Parasympathetic nerve system. Your digestive tract works properly this way.
2)      Take your digestive enzymes 10-15 minutes before you eat. We eat too much cooked food where the natural enzymes have been destroyed. Taking digestive enzymes eases the burden on your pancreas and helps you pull out all the food’s nutrition. If you need help choosing a good enzyme for you, I’m happy to help!
3)      Chew your food until it’s liquid before you swallow. Gulping down large food particles puts a huge burden on your intestines, increasing your chance of food sensitivities, allergies, and bowel distress!
