What Gets You Well Will Keep You Well and Vice Versa

Your body is made up of systems. You have a nerve system, digestive, cardiovascular, lymphatic, integumentary (skin), musculoskeletal, endocrine, urinary, reproductive, and respiratory systems.
There are certain natural laws in place that our bodies operate under when it comes to health and wellness. For instance: exercise to strengthen the cardiovascular and endocrine system, and burn fat is important, as is eating real food and getting good sleep.
Eating salads made with organic veggies will give your system the antioxidants and other nutrients needed to help your liver cleanse. Taking certain supplements in the form of vitamins, minerals, herbs, and essential oils will support your body systems to get better and stay better. If a certain something supports a system, it supports it when that system is in good health or not. Exercising to strengthen your heart muscle will help you achieve that goal and then exercising once your heart muscle is nice and strong will keep it that way. Just like exercising and eating right will help you achieve AND maintain your optimal body composition.
I recently got a phone call from a patient asking me why a certain nutrient was indicated in both high AND low blood pressure. “Because that nutrient,” I explained, “supports the cardiovascular system. It doesn’t matter if that system is sick or well, it still needs that nutrient to function properly.”
In our drug-ridden society, we have been indoctrinated with the concept that there is a pill for every symptom. Drugs don’t think. They don’t heal. They are manufactured to artificially suppress a symptom or replace a function.
When you support your body naturally, you empower it to do what it was designed to do; heal itself. Applying natural healing methods will not only help you get healthy, they will keep you that way.
