Problems With Constipation

Nobody wants to talk about being constipated, but it is a very common and very real problem. If your body is not eliminating properly, it can cause a lot of other issues such as headaches, fatigue, moodiness, sluggish liver function, faulty hormone metabolism, skin problems, bowel disease, and more. You should have a bowel movement every day, or even after every major meal.
In my 29 years of natural health care, I have seen many patients’ issues improve just by doing a good bowel cleanse.
Some causes of constipation include relative dehydration, low fiber intake, lack of exercise, low magnesium levels, thyroid issues, low beneficial microflora levels, low hydrochloric acid, and even emotional issues.
Getting your basics covered is the best way to start. Drink 1/2 – 2/3 oz water per pound of body weight daily. Exercise 20-30 minutes at least 5 days a week. Eat 5-9 servings of fruits and veggies per day. Do a bowel cleanse at least once a year. Take a multiple mineral to keep your mineral/magnesium stores adequate. Eat fermented foods such as homemade kefir or raw sauerkraut every day. Take an HCl supplement or a digestive enzyme with HCl in it with meals.
If these don’t get things moving, consult a natural health care provider to help you with this very serious issue. Get over being embarrassed about it and get help. Your life may depend upon it.
